[Pathfinder] Unterschiede bei Tiergefährten für Druiden und Waldläufern

Der Waldläufer kann ja ähnlich wie ein Druide einen Tiergefährten durch seinen Bund mit der Natur auswählen, ist aber im GRW im Gegensatz zum Druiden ein bißchen eingeschränkt:

Dachs, Hund, Kamel, Pferd (Reit- oder Zugpferd), Pony, Raubkatze (klein), Giftschlange, Würgeschlange, Schreckensratte, Vogel oder Wolf.

Es gibt ja auch in den Expertenregeln eine Waldläufervariante (Bestienmeister), die aus allen Druden-Tieren wählen kann, dafür aber natürlich in anderen Belangen etwas zurück stecken muss.

So weit, so gut!

Jetzt gibt es aber in den Monsterhandbüchern auch weitere Tiergefährten für DRU und WAL, wo ich allerdings nicht ganz schlau werde, ob die nun alle auch für den normalen Waldläufer gelten.
Beim Roch zB steht explizit auch WALdläufer dabei, aber sonst?

Weiß da jemand genaueres?

Fänds ein bißchen  unsinnig, wenn der WAL im GRW keinen Saurier bekommt, im Monsterhandbuch aber schon.....

Der Druide hat die volle Auswahl, der Waldläufer bleibt im Prinzip bei der Liste aus dem GRW. Die wird ja nirgends aufgeweicht.

In der d20-PF-SRD findet man in der Liste auch eine Markierung, welche Tiergefährten für den Waldläufer sind.

"The idea being that a ranger is a combat-focused class, and thus his animal companions should not grant him a huge additional combat bonus. His animal companions are more intended to be scouts, mounts, or spies, not up front and melee types.

There are some options in the Advanced Player's Guide that open up the list of available animal companions for rangers, though.

The animal companions in the Bestiary are primarily for druids (who have no restriction on what kind of animal companions they can choose). But a GM who thinks/feels that some of those animals would be cool additions to the ranger list should not hesitate to make that ruling for his game."

Womit es wieder einmal darauf hinaus läuft: no hard and fast rule but a ruling by the gamemaster who has the final say. So find ich's gut.
