Hey folks,
Just a quick update since I know that all of you are likely as hungry for information about Talislanta: the Savage Land as much as I am.
Here's where we stand right now:
We're working on it.
What? You wanted more information than that? Harumph. Well, fine, here goes.
SMS has done some rough notes that have been added to. In a few days, that document will get a polish and head out to the writing team. Some time after the writing team has had a chance to digest the information, the plan is to start coming to you, the fans, for some input and creative ideas.
That will likely be a narrow window, maybe 2 days per particular topic, where we get some short concise things (2-3 sentences MAX per entry per person). Those will get a big going over to see what works with our working notes, what doesn't, and so forth. The stuff that does work will worm its way into our notes and get churned into some wholesome Talislanta stuff.
Then, we're going to start writing, and SMS is going to have an art team assembled and they're going to start sketching, and at some point in the future, we're all going to have a new Talislanta book, and that is friggin awesome.
Do you want to know how awesome it is?
Think about this: we've been playing in this world for decades now. And though the setting stays the same (more or less), we've all got different (more or less) Talislanta worlds that we live and play in. All the additional material that's been put out over the years just builds and expands on the stuff that's been written.
But this book... This book will be new stuff. New information. New art. New mysteries to ponder over. New answers to old questions. This will be like coming home to Talislanta all over again.
And, let me tell you this, SMS has some amazing revelations and developments for us all. Trust me on that.

T:SL als Box Set:

As we continue to make plans for TSL, we've been discussing options for what to include in the boxed set. Some of the ideas so far include: 2 (hopefully) full-color books, one for players and one for GMs; a detailed map of Archaeus before the Disaster printed on glossy paper;, showing the way the Archaens viewed the world; a second map, post-Disaster, with much less detail, many areas marked "Unknown", printed on non-coated paper so players could write on it and fill-in areas as they explore them; a GM screen; and an original TSL "soundtrack" CD. Thoughts? What would be on your wish list of goodies to include in the TSL boxed set?

Greetings, Talislanta-fans!
We want your ideas for Talislanta: the Savage Lands.
First off, this is what we are NOT looking for:
• Anything that doesn't fit the overall vibe and make-up of the T:SL milieu
• Stats for anything at all. Don't worry about stats at this stage; the system is being tweaked and instead of re-writing stats, just don't include them.
• Anything about the game system. As said, that's being tweaked.
• Adventure seed ideas. We are going to need these, of course, but let's wait until things are more fleshed out before we pull those in.
What we are going to do is ask for ideas in a variety of topics. Every other day we'll ask for a new list of things. What we'd like for you to give us is a very short idea. Nothing more than two or three sentences at the most. Concise is what we're going for.
We'll collect those, go through them, and funnel them to the writers. Furthermore, be sure to leave us your name as you'd like to see it in the book when we give credit to the fans for the help and suggestions.
The first thing we're asking for is this:
* Additional root races or ancestral races from the Talislanta books and why. We're not going to list what we already have; be creative and tell us what you'd like to see, if there's overlap, we're doing something right. If there's things that we've missed, we need to know!
