Naja, was heißt schon too much. Auf ein Hex von 10 Meilen Durchmesser trifft man (wenn man sie denn findet) auf eine Statue oder einen Magic-User oder einen Cleric. Davon wirklich strange sind nur die Monster, welche auch mal ziemlich klein sein können. Sooo strange ist IOTU dann doch nicht, man muss sich eben nur die ganzen EDOs, Wölfe, Tavernen und Standardsachen dazudenken. Wenn ich das Ding leite (könnte demnächst passieren) fang ich mit einem Hex an, arbeite das genauer aus und guck mir die umliegenden Hexes an. Dann hab ich ein 30 Meilen Gebiet, in dem maximal sieben seltsame Monster sein können. Ich finde, das geht schon.

Okay, nochmal. Ich bezog mich in meiner Äußerung explizit nicht auf dieses Produkt, das ich - wie schon betont - nicht kenne. Sondern ganz allgemein auf einen Kritikpunkt, der auf Grognardia geäußert wurde.

Ist schon klar und generell gebe ich dir da recht. Aber in Bezug auf das Produkt: Das fällt an sich eben gar nicht so sehr unter die Kritik von Grognardia, weil es eben kein "Ganzes" ist, sondern gefüllt werden muss. Wenn der SL jetzt ganz im Stil des Buches weiterfüllt, wird es aber ganz schnell zu viel, jep.

Alte Kickstarter erfolgreich finanziert und ein neues hat er schon am Start:

7,500$ und es gibt die Grindhouse Regeln als Hardcover. Das ist jedoch nicht das interessante. Interessant wird es leider erst mit den Bonus Goals. Ab 15k (und dann knapp bei jeden weiteren 7k) wird ein neues Lotfp Abenteuer geschrieben z.B. von Kenneth Hite, Frank Mentzer, Graeme Davis, Steve Kenson, ZAK S.  und vielen anderen.

Ich bezweifele jedoch das er durch das Projekt viel Geld oben drauf bekommt. Dafür fehlen mir irgendwie die zusätzlichen Anreize, vor allem da man die Abenteuer NICHT über die Pledges bekommt....

The Madness Starts Sunday: The Full Lineup
We've had some lineup changes... but this is what we have: 19 adventures that will be individually up for grabs on IndieGoGo starting July 1 (if everything goes well, that'll be just after midnight Finnish time, still the evening of June 30 for you North Americaners). Campaign ends July 30.

I'm planning a full-on publicity blitz for this, with podcast appearances already recorded (and most of the writers getting their own interviews as well), a big banner ad campaign, the works.

This whole thing only works if you want it to, but I have done my best to present something you will want.

Death Love Doom: Released at Ropecon!




20 pages + detached cover with map, this is the same format as Hammers of the God/Death Frost Doom/Tower of the Stargazer, etc. Written by me.

Limited to 225 print copies (and out of that come the couple of review copies that get sent out, awards panel copies, library copies, etc., so probably 200 available for sale).


It's basically a pseudo-historical haunted house kind of thing. It involves the Duvan'Ku. The adventure went from first concept to print in two weeks (yay team!), including playing it. Was planned to be 8 pages, ended up at 20. Probably rough around the edges, but things I work on for 6+ months still have typos and shit so probably no big difference there.

The first thing done was the art list. I decided to turn the "sick and twisted" up to 11. Then I built an adventure around the imagery. Seriously, if things bother you, skip this one. Crossing the line was first priority. I had artists turn down the job because of the content.
