RPG.net:
"We Have Lost Stewart Wieck. He passed away much too young on Thursday at the age of 49. He was the founder of White Wolf Magazine (with brother Steve) and of White Wolf Game Studio (with Mark Rein•Hagen). He ran the company through its primordial years until his brother took over. After leaving White Wolf, Stewart founded a new company, Nocturnal Media, which has been resurrecting classic games like Pendragon, Prince Valiant, and Talislanta.
Stewart was one of the most pivotal members of the industry in the '90s, and was poised to continue that influence through the '10s. Our thoughts are with his family. The industry will be lesser for his loss."
Oh Nein! :o
Ich bin ihm auf Kickstarter gefolgt, erst vor wenigen Tagen hat er noch Projekte unterstützt... :'(

Yesterday my brother Stewart Wieck died. He had just finished a light fencing workout and then fell over. All attempts to resuscitate him failed. It's still unknown what caused it; we'll know more in a few days. Something catastrophic in his heart perhaps.
Stewart was 49, ate right, exercised, a specimen of good health... it's all just.. stunning that he could possibly, suddenly be gone.
He was my brother, my best friend, my business partner since we started White Wolf in high school. He was an incredible human being, full of kindness and empathy, fun and artistic passion.
I was supposed to grow old drinking and gaming with him. Now that will have to wait for heaven or Valhalla or whatever comes next.
And of course, leave it to Stewart to die with a sword in his hand.
No need for flowers, no memorial service has been arranged yet, we're just taking things a step at a time.
Anyone involved with Stewart's publishing projects feel free to reach out to me in a few weeks.
R.I.P. Stewart Wieck. :'(

ZitatMy friends,
With heavy heart I pass on to all the tragic news that Stewart Wieck suddenly, without warning,
died yesterday.
His brother made the announcement at www.tenkarstavern.com/2017/06/stewart-wieck-has-passed-white-wolf.html (http://www.tenkarstavern.com/2017/06/stewart-wieck-has-passed-white-wolf.html)
I can add nothing to the news, so I refer you to that site
I am deeply shocked and saddened
I've known Stewart since he was a teenager, and always liked him
I have admired his friendliness, creativity, and especially his generosity for all that time
He has been my friend
Let us mourn
and send good wishes, energies, blessings, prayers, or whatever appropriate good stuff from whatever belief system you know, to his wife and children, brother, and other living relatives
