ZitatZWEIHÄNDER Grim and Perilous is a dark fantasy role-playing game, designed with retroclone elements from the Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay tabletop system. Set for release in autumn of 2012, ZWEIHÄNDER embraces the dark and gritty nature of old school RPGs of yore while simultaneously providing many modern advances found in today's roleplaying game industry. The finished product will be "world-agnostic", universally adaptable for any low or dark fantasy campaign with similar application principles as GURPS. ZWEIHÄNDER will be made available as a print-on-demand product, physical book availability on Amazon and incorporate a digital initiative/living ruleset called "Grim & Perilous".

Das klingt doch schonmal ganz spannend. :)

"We are happy to announce that ZWEIHÄNDER Grim & Perilous RPG will be released as a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-Share Alike 3.0 License. So what does this mean to you? We will be releasing an art-free, rules-lite "Grim & Perilous Edition" across various torrent trackers on Day One of release. We like the idea of people trying our product before committing to buy.

ZitatMeet Hugo Stoat. He's your salt-of-the-earth sort of peasant, living far away from civilization in the small village of Hastings. Hugo spent most of his life tilling the field, taking care of his lord's precious cattle and living beneath the oppression of the yeoman gentry. Punished at a young age for a crime Hugo refuses to admit to, he's grown to become a very paranoid and withdrawn man. What Hugo doesn't know is that his lord has promised 100 fighting men to his own liege count, and Hugo will invariably be drawn away from the farm and into their ranks...

This character sheet represents Hugo at the end of the First Tier. His starting profession is Peasant. He has spent enough Experience Points to complete his First Tier of growth.

Sehr cool. Der Charakterbogen gefällt mir richtig. :)

Um einen der Entwickler mal zu zitieren:

ZitatHow I fixed it in ZWEIHÄNDER was with a solid math distribution up front. Assuming all Skills hold the same value, I distribute equally the same number of Skills, Characteristic bumps and Talents to each Career. This made things far more fair across the board from a math perspective. I also ramped up the math distributions and qualified three specifics "Tiers" of growth that characters qualified for as they selected new Careers. And, there is no longer a penalty for being untrained.

Siehe 2. Zitat

ZitatWith ZWEIHÄNDER, there isn't a penalty for using a skill without a Skill Rank. Instead, Skill Ranks are additive while your raw Primary Attribute determines your Base Chance to succeed. Here's a good case, referencing both systems:

Karlsbäd Überhavling is a poor, wretched soul. He never learned to swim, but he loves to fish. One evening, he was fishing underneath the moonlight with his lucky pole. Something snags his line, and it's big and nasty. He fights and fights the fish, but it yanks the pole from his hands! Foolishly, Karlsbäd leaps into the pond after his lucky pole...

----------------------------
Example 1 WFRPG 2e: The average Characteristic is 31% and the penalty for lack of training in Swim is -10%. If Karlsbäd hops in, the GM will likely rule in one of two cases: either he has no chance to swim if the GM is truly punitive, or he has an Average (+0%) if the GM is lenient (it's dark out, the water is deep, he's holding onto the pole, he is untrained in Swim). In the best case, Karlsbäd has a 21% chance of success. Worst case, he has no chance whatsoever.

Example 2 ZWEIHÄNDER: The average Primary Attribute is 31% and there is no penalty for lack of training in Athletics. If Karlsbäd hops in, the GM will likely rule in the most likeliest of scenarios: he has an Average (+0%) Difficulty Rating (it's dark out, the water is deep, he's holding onto the pole). Karlsbäd has a 31% Maximum Chance.

All in all, that's a 47% percentage change between the WFRP 2e example and the ZWEIHÄNDER example.

Profession: Smuggler
Professional Trait: Häns Shot First

Sie benutzen mir zwar zu oft das Ä, aber was will man erwarten? :D

Aber "Häns shot first" hört sich solide an.  ;D
